Gatoku is operated by Eduardo Pereyra, an independent (freelance) game developer based in Argentina (“we”, “us”, “I”). Gatoku is a puzzle game available on the web and as a desktop app (including via Steam). This policy explains what we collect and why.

Playing as a guest

You can play without an account. Guest progress (puzzle state, times, settings) is stored only in your browser/device via local storage. We do not receive it.

Accounts (optional)

If you create an account, we use Supabase (our backend provider) to store:

We use this data to authenticate you, sync your progress across devices, and display leaderboards. We do not sell your personal data.

Sign in with Google

If you choose Google sign-in, Google shares your basic profile (name, email, avatar) per your Google account permissions. We use it only to create and identify your account.

Leaderboards

Your display name and avatar are publicly visible alongside your verified solve times when you appear on a leaderboard. Your email is never shown.

Analytics

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how players use the game (aggregated usage, heatmaps, and anonymized session replays of interactions). It does not collect your name or email. You can turn it off anytime in Settings → Privacy → Anonymous analytics.
