Terms of Service
Gatoku is operated by Eduardo Pereyra, an independent (freelance) game developer based in Argentina (“we”, “us”, “I”). By playing Gatoku or creating an account, you agree to these terms.
1. Your account
- You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.
- Provide accurate information. You may delete your account at any time in-app.
- One person per account; don't impersonate others (including in your display name).
2. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Cheat, manipulate, or submit falsified leaderboard times, or attempt to bypass server-side solve verification.
- Abuse, overload, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its backend.
- Use offensive, infringing, or misleading display names.
- Reverse engineer or redistribute the game except as permitted by the platform (e.g. Steam) or applicable law.
We may suspend or remove accounts, or reset leaderboard entries, that violate these terms.
3. Leaderboards & user content
Your display name and avatar are shown publicly on leaderboards. We may remove content that violates these terms.
4. Availability
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. Online features (accounts, sync, leaderboards) may be unavailable or change; the game remains playable offline as a guest. We don't guarantee uninterrupted service.
5. Purchases
Purchases made through a platform (e.g. Steam) are governed by that platform's terms and refund policy.
6. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the game.
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Argentina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be subject to the competent courts of Argentina, except where mandatory consumer-protection law grants you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
8. Changes
We may update these terms; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
